About this screen
Growth at a reasonable price, or GARP, sits between pure growth and pure value investing. Popularized by Peter Lynch, it looks for companies whose earnings grow quickly but whose shares are not priced for perfection. This screen requires 3-year EPS growth of at least 15% a year, a trailing P/E of 25 or less and a PEG of 1.2 or less, which ties the valuation directly to the growth rate.
Results are sorted by PEG, lowest first. Past earnings growth does not guarantee future growth, and EPS growth can be flattered by buybacks or a recovery from a weak base year. Check revenue growth in the Growth tab to see whether sales are rising alongside earnings. The Filters tab shows all four criteria side by side for quick comparison.
GARP Stocks: Growth at a Reasonable Price FAQ
Which stocks offer growth at a reasonable price?
As of the October 29, 2026 close, 92 stocks with a market cap above $2 billion had a PEG of 1.2 or less, 3-year EPS growth of at least 15% a year and a P/E of 25 or less. The lowest PEG ratios were SSR Mining Inc. (SSRM), Century Aluminum Company (CENX) and The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. (HIG).
What is GARP investing?
GARP combines growth and value: investors look for above-average earnings growth but refuse to pay a very high multiple for it. The PEG ratio is its most common tool.
What is a good PEG ratio?
A PEG of 1 means the P/E equals the growth rate and is often treated as fair value. Below 1 suggests the stock is cheap relative to growth, and above 2 suggests it is expensive. The ratio depends on growth estimates, which can be wrong.
