About this list

This is a complete list of exchange-traded funds listed in the United States, on NYSE Arca, Cboe BZX, Nasdaq and the NYSE. It covers index funds that track the broad stock market, sector and dividend funds, international and emerging-market funds, bond and Treasury funds, commodity and crypto funds, option-income and buffer funds, and leveraged and inverse funds.

The table is ranked by net assets (assets under management). Click a column heading to sort by price, daily change, volume, fund name or expense ratio, type in the filter box to find a fund or issuer, or pick an asset class to narrow the list. Each page shows 50 funds; use the page numbers below the table to move through the list.

Asset classes are assigned from each fund's holdings mix (stocks, bonds, cash) and its name, so a few funds with unusual strategies may sit in a broader group than you expect. Open a fund's page for its full holdings and allocation.

Popular funds: VOO, IVV, SPY, VTI, QQQ, VUG, VEA, VTV, IEFA, SPYM, BND, VXUS.

Stocks: all US stocks, S&P 500, Nasdaq-100, Dow 30.

What is an ETF?

An exchange-traded fund (ETF) is an investment fund whose shares trade on a stock exchange like a stock. Most ETFs track an index, such as the S&P 500, a sector or a bond market, so one share gives you a small piece of every holding. Others are actively managed, hold commodities such as gold, or use derivatives.

What is the difference between an ETF and a mutual fund?

ETF shares trade on an exchange throughout the day at market prices, while mutual fund shares are bought from and sold back to the fund once a day at the closing net asset value. ETFs usually have lower expense ratios and no minimum investment beyond one share, and they are often more tax-efficient in taxable accounts.

What are leveraged and inverse ETFs?

Leveraged ETFs aim to return a multiple (for example 2x or 3x) of an index or stock's daily move; inverse ETFs aim for the opposite of the daily move. Because they reset every day, their returns over longer periods can differ a lot from the multiple of the index return, and they are designed mainly for short-term trading.
