About this screen
The expense ratio is the yearly fee a fund deducts from its assets. Over decades even small differences add up, so for broad index exposure the cheapest fund tracking a similar index is usually the better choice.
This screen keeps funds with at least $1 billion in assets, so the list is limited to large, liquid funds. Funds without a reported expense ratio are left out.

What is a good expense ratio for an ETF?
For broad stock and bond index funds, 0.10% or less is competitive and some charge 0.03%. Sector, thematic, active and option-based funds typically charge 0.35% to 1%.
