What is a trading strategy?
A trading strategy is a set of objective rules that define entry (buy) and exit (sell) points – patterns in the behavior of the stock price, volume or, more commonly, technical indicators. The strength of these rules is that they are not subjective like intuition or emotion. Some were developed decades ago and are still used by traders today.
Stock Predictor lets you test these strategies on historical data, adjust and fine-tune them for a particular group of stocks, and automate the rules so that your buy and sell decisions follow an objective methodology.
Trading strategies
The built-in strategies cover moving averages, RSI, stochastic, Williams %R, Directional Movement, Bollinger Bands, breakouts and filters. Browse all strategies with their buy and sell rules or read the getting started manual.
