About this screen

The SEC defines a penny stock as one trading below $5 a share. This list only includes stocks listed on a major exchange, which must meet listing and reporting standards; over-the-counter shares are not included. A minimum average volume of 100,000 shares a day filters out the most illiquid names.

Penny stocks are often small, unprofitable or distressed companies and can move sharply in either direction. They are speculative; check the company's finances before trading.
