About this screen

Dividend stocks pay part of their profits to shareholders, usually every quarter. This screen looks for a yield of 3% or more, well above the S&P 500 average, while leaving out very small companies and those paying out more than 90% of their earnings, where the dividend may be harder to sustain.

The list is sorted by dividend yield. Use the Dividends tab to compare the annual dividend per share, payout ratio, years of dividend growth and the 5-year dividend growth rate, or add filters to narrow it down by sector or valuation.

Dividend Stocks FAQ

How many dividend stocks meet these criteria?

As of the October 26, 2026 close, 355 US-listed stocks had a dividend yield of at least 3%, a market cap above $2 billion and a payout ratio under 90%. The highest yields were Dynex Capital, Inc. (DX), AGNC Investment Corp. (AGNC) and Blue Owl Technology Finance Corp. (OTF).

What is a good dividend yield?

Many income investors look for yields between 3% and 6%. Much higher yields can be a warning sign: a falling share price pushes the yield up, and the dividend may be cut. That is why this screen also limits the payout ratio.

What is the payout ratio?

The payout ratio is the share of a company's earnings paid out as dividends. A ratio of 50% means half of the profit goes to shareholders. Ratios close to or above 100% leave little room if earnings fall.
