About this screen
Nuclear power produces large amounts of carbon-free electricity around the clock, and demand from data centers and grid decarbonization has renewed interest in the industry. This list covers companies whose business descriptions center on nuclear energy across the whole chain: uranium mining and royalties, conversion and enrichment, reactor and small modular reactor (SMR) design, components, and utilities that operate large nuclear fleets.
The list opens on the Performance tab because returns differ widely across the group: utilities move slowly, while miners and pre-revenue reactor developers can rise or fall sharply. Theme membership is assigned from company descriptions and reviewed by hand, so it may not include every company with nuclear exposure. Check beta and % from 52-week high in the Technicals view, and note that many SMR developers have no revenue yet.
Nuclear and Uranium Stocks FAQ
Which nuclear and uranium stocks are the largest?
As of the October 29, 2026 close, 40 US-listed companies were tagged with the nuclear theme. The largest companies on the list are Duke Energy Corporation (DUK), Entergy Corporation (ETR) and Public Service Enterprise Group Incorporated (PEG).
What is a small modular reactor?
A small modular reactor (SMR) is a nuclear reactor with a much smaller output than a conventional plant, designed to be built largely in a factory and installed in units. Supporters expect lower construction risk and more flexible siting. Few designs have yet reached commercial operation.
What drives uranium prices?
Uranium is bought mostly by utilities under long-term contracts, so price depends on reactor construction, plant life extensions, mine supply and inventories. Supply disruptions and new reactor plans can move the spot price quickly, and uranium miners usually react more than the metal itself.
