About this screen
Micro-caps are companies worth roughly $50 million to $300 million. Few analysts or large funds follow them, so information spreads slowly and prices can move a long way on a single contract, financing or earnings report. Some investors search here for undiscovered businesses; many of the names, however, are early-stage, unprofitable or in long-term decline.
The volume floor removes stocks that trade so rarely that the quoted price may not reflect a real market. Even so, bid-ask spreads can be wide. Look at net margin and cash in the Profitability tab, since frequent share issuance is common among micro-caps and dilutes existing holders. Over-the-counter stocks are not included in this list.
