About this screen
Dividend growth investors often accept a lower starting yield in exchange for fast increases. A dividend that compounds at 10% a year doubles in about seven years, so the yield on the original purchase price can end up well above that of a high-yield stock bought at the same time. This screen looks for double-digit 5-year dividend growth backed by a streak of at least five annual increases.
Results are sorted by the 5-year dividend CAGR. Rapid dividend growth only lasts if earnings keep up, so compare it with EPS growth in the Growth tab; a dividend growing much faster than profits pushes the payout ratio up. The 70% payout limit filters out most companies that have already run out of room. Growth rates can be distorted by a cut or a very low base five years ago.
Fast Dividend Growth Stocks FAQ
Which stocks are growing their dividends the fastest?
As of the October 29, 2026 close, 237 US-listed stocks had grown their dividend by at least 10% a year over five years with a payout ratio of 70% or less. The fastest dividend growth was at Cigna Corporation (CI), Howmet Aerospace Inc. (HWM) and Cenovus Energy Inc. (CVE).
What is yield on cost?
Yield on cost is the current annual dividend divided by the price you originally paid. If you bought at $50 and the dividend has grown from $1 to $3, your yield on cost is 6%, even if the current yield is lower.
Can fast dividend growth continue?
Only while earnings and cash flow grow at a similar pace or the payout ratio has room to rise. Once the payout ratio reaches a high level, dividend growth usually slows toward the rate of earnings growth.
