About this screen
A low share price attracts traders because a fixed amount buys more shares, but price alone says nothing about value: a $7 stock can be more expensive than a $700 one on earnings. This list starts at $5, the SEC threshold for penny stocks, and requires a market cap of $300 million and strong average volume, which removes most illiquid and distressed names.
The list is sorted by the last session's volume, so it changes from day to day as news moves different stocks to the top. Check the P/E column and the Profitability tab before reading anything into a low price, and see the penny stocks list for exchange-listed shares under $5, which carry considerably more risk.
Stocks Under $10 FAQ
Which stocks under $10 trade the most?
As of the October 29, 2026 close, 259 stocks priced between $5 and $10 had a market cap above $300 million and average volume of at least 500,000 shares. The most actively traded were ADT Inc. (ADT), Nokia Oyj (NOK) and Iovance Biotherapeutics, Inc. (IOVA).
Is a stock under $10 cheap?
Not necessarily. A low price per share only reflects how many shares exist. Valuation ratios such as P/E or price-to-sales show whether a stock is cheap relative to its business.
Why does this list start at $5?
Stocks under $5 are classed as penny stocks by the SEC and are often more volatile and less liquid. Many institutional investors also avoid them.
