About this screen

The Nasdaq-100 holds the 100 largest non-financial companies listed on Nasdaq, weighted by market value. It leans heavily toward technology, communication services and consumer companies, so it has historically grown faster and fallen harder than the S&P 500. Several issuers now offer funds on the same index, which makes cost and trading liquidity the main points of comparison.

Sorting by assets puts the most heavily traded fund first, though newer versions often charge less. Compare expense ratios on the Fund tab, and average dollar volume if you trade frequently. Equal-weight and tech-only versions of the index can also carry the tag, so check the fund name. Covered-call funds that sell options on the index are excluded and appear on the Covered Call ETFs page.

Best Nasdaq-100 ETFs to Buy in 2026 FAQ

How many Nasdaq-100 ETFs are there?

As of the October 29, 2026 close, 10 non-leveraged ETFs tracked the Nasdaq-100 or a version of it. The largest by assets are Invesco QQQ ETF (QQQ), Invesco NASDAQ 100 ETF (QQQM) and Pacer Trendpilot 100 ETF (PTNQ).

What is the difference between the Nasdaq-100 and the Nasdaq Composite?

The Nasdaq Composite includes nearly every stock listed on Nasdaq, thousands of companies. The Nasdaq-100 keeps only the 100 largest non-financial ones, so it is more concentrated in large technology and growth companies.

Why are there several Nasdaq-100 ETFs with different fees?

Issuers launched lower-cost versions aimed at buy-and-hold investors, while the original fund remains popular with traders for its very high volume and active options market. The holdings are the same, so long-term investors often focus on the expense ratio.
