How to add Market Movers to your website
- Choose stocks or ETFs, the number of rows, the first tab, the size and the theme. The preview shows exactly what your visitors will see.
- Click Copy code.
- Paste the code into your page’s HTML where the box should appear – a sidebar works well – and publish.
The code has two parts: a <div> that holds the options and two links, and a <script> that draws the box:
<div class="ql-movers" data-market="stocks" data-rows="5" data-theme="light">
<a href="https://www.quotelinks.com/stocks.html">US stock movers</a> by
<a href="https://www.quotelinks.com/">Quotelinks</a>
</div>
<script src="https://www.quotelinks.com/widgets/movers.js" async></script>
The two links are shown at the bottom of the box. Clicking a stock opens its quote page on Quotelinks in a new tab. If JavaScript is turned off, visitors still see the links.
How the lists are chosen
- Gainers and losers: the largest percentage rises and falls of the latest session.
- Most active: the most shares traded in the latest session.
- Stocks: US-listed stocks with a closing price of at least $1 and a market cap of at least $300 million, one share class per company.
- ETFs: net assets of at least $100 million and a price of at least $1; leveraged and inverse ETFs are left out of gainers and losers.
- Updated after each US market close; the box shows the date of the session.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Market Movers widget free?
Yes. It is free for personal and commercial websites, with no sign-up and no API key. The only condition is that the two links in the embed code stay in place and visible.
How are the gainers, losers and most active stocks chosen?
From all US stocks that traded in the latest session, with a closing price of at least $1 and a market cap of at least $300 million. Gainers and losers are ranked by percentage change, most active by the number of shares traded. Only one share class per company is listed.
Which ETFs are included?
US-listed ETFs with at least $100 million in net assets and a price of at least $1. Leveraged and inverse ETFs are left out of the gainers and losers, because their 2x and 3x moves would fill those lists; they still appear under most active.
How often is it updated?
After each US market close. The widget shows the date of the session it covers, for example “Close · Oct 27”. During the trading day it shows the previous session.
Does it show real-time movers?
No. It is an end-of-day list. Each row links to that stock's full quote page on Quotelinks, which opens in a new tab.
Will it slow down my page?
No. The script is about 4.5 KB compressed, loads with async and makes one small request; switching tabs needs no further requests.
Will my site's CSS change the widget?
No. It is drawn inside a Shadow DOM, so your styles don't change it and its styles don't leak into your page.
How wide is it?
The full version is 360 px wide and the compact one (without company names) 300 px. Both shrink to fit narrower spaces down to about 250 px.
