Castle was established in November 1985 and is one of two securities broker dealer subsidiaries of the Freeport, N.Y. based Castle Holding Corp. Currently, this subsidiary is licensed to conduct its brokerage business in 37 states and the District of Columbia. Castle's businesses include the underwriting and brokerage of fixed income and equity securities.
Citadel Securities Corp., the second subsidiary, commenced operations in April 1996 and is presently licensed to operate its dealer business in New York only. It makes markets in over 50 Nasdaq and OTC Bulletin Board stocks, has no retail customers, and conducts business exclusively with other broker/dealers."
